You're getting ready for work one day and it hits you that your front teeth are really ugly and out of place. Or maybe you get mad whenever you try to practice good oral hygiene because you've got cracks in your teeth that food gets stuck in. Or you just are no longer happy with the appearance of your teeth. What options are available for someone like you? Ashburn dentist Fotolia_7821073_XS.jpg

How about mulling over the idea of Ashburn Lumineers, or you may have heard them called porcelain or dental veneers. If you have any ugly spots in any tooth, you can use veneers to hide them. Computer experts using advanced software make each veneer so they are customized to your particular mouth.

There are two types of Ashburn lumineers. One is a normal thickness and the other is extremely thin.

The Ashburn lumineers magically banish ugly, blemished teeth, or you can use them on all your teeth to get a brand new smile. But they're just for cosmetic purposes: major dental work should be handled by dealing with the problem, not covering it up. Ask your dentist if you need to have any serious dental procedures done.

At the start, it may sound as though the procedure is simple. But it's really very complicated. Some natural material has to be filed from your teeth to facilitate fitting the veneers exactly. It's nothing to lose sleep over: your original teeth will still be robust. All the same, the file will have to come out for that and your gums will also be worn down a tiny bit so that they don't look too large for your teeth.

You'll receive an interim veneer at first and the permanent veneer will be made using that as a guide. While your dentist is making the temporary veneer, you'll get to see just how the veneers will work with your teeth. And while all of this is happening and the veneers are being made, they can be adjusted. So you can provide input in the construction. And a splint is made that fits over your natural teeth which you can wear before the placement of the permanent veneers. The splint will give you the chance to see exactly what the permanent veneers will be like.
